Absa Premiership match report Chippa United v SuperSport United 03 March 2019

SuperSport United handed Clinton Larsen his first defeat as Chippa United coach in the Absa Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Chippa made just a single change from their last encounter as Ruzaigh Gamildien was brought into the midfield, while SuperSport remained unchanged despite their defeat to Baroka FC in their last encounter.
Matsatsantsa displayed their earlier dominance, as Aubrey Modiba’s through pass unlocked Bradley Grobler who failed to pounce with a wayward finish, while Xolisi Machupu headed over the top on 15 minutes.
With 21 minutes played, Machupu haunted his former employers after turning home Modiba’s first-time cross pass to put SuperSport ahead in the contest,
Given SuperSport’s dominance, the home side fashioned their first opening when Lerato Manzini missed a sitter before halftime.
Right from resumption, SuperSport forced Mzimela into action off a good goal-scoring opportunity from Evans Rusike, who was unable to capatilise.
Chippa struggled to open up any real opportunities, which prompted Larsen to thrown Mark Mayambela and later on, William Twala.
Matsatsantsa became unperturbed with the pace of the game dying down, coupled with little in the way of offensive interplays.
That said, Kaitano Tembo’s had done just about enough to get back to winning ways to leapfrog Kazier Chiefs into top spot.
