Golden Arrows comfortably advanced to the Nedbank Cup last 16 with a 3-0 victory over Tjakastad Junior Shepherds in Nelspruit.
Arrows were ahead within five minutes from the start after Joao Moreira finished off a good move from inside the box.
The home side's determination remained high despite falling behind, but the esteem experience from Abafana Besthende showed in large parts.
In the 23rd minute, Nkululeko Sibisi rose above the Tjakastad defence to guide home a short corner to give the visitors a two-goal cushion.
After falling way behind, Tjakastad made an early change with the removal of Mzwakhe Magagula for Bongani Nkosi after 32 minutes.
Searching for his brace, Moreira was left in the firing zone from quick counter-attacking play, but his final delivery sailed over the top before halftime.
The ABC Motsepe League side made another substitution at the start of the second half when Sizolwethu Mkhatshwa came on for Thokozani Mgwebu.
Abafana Besthende elevated their advantage when Nkombelo was perfectly positioned to steer home the third after 56 minutes from a corner.
That was before the hosts missed a good opportunity to get the deficit when substitute Mkhatshwa headed a cross from the right into the side-netting.
Solid ball retention from Arrows resulted in the creation of a half-chance for Moreira late on, but the striker he fluffed with a wide finish.
Into the final moments, Steve Komphela’s boys failed to add a fourth when Sibusiso Sibeko headed into the side-netting, while Lungelo Dube was stopped in his tracks by the opposite number as the encounter finished 3-0.
