The Premier Soccer League have announced a decision on the venue of the upcoming Nedbank Cup final as well as the end-of-season awards ceremony.

The League's chairman Irvin Khoza on Tuesday announced at a press conference held at their headquarters that the two events will both be staged in Durban next month.

The 2019 Nedbank Cup final is set to take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on May 18, a week after the Absa Premiership champions are set to be confirmed, on May 11.

The iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup venue will host a second cup final this season, after earlier staging the MTN8 final between SuperSport United and Cape Town City in September last year.

This will also be a fourth Nedbank Cup final the venue will host in the last seven editions of the tournament, with the last having been between SuperSport and Orlando Pirates in 2017.

Meanwhile, the annual PSL Awards ceremony will also take place for the first time ever at Durban's International Convention Centre a day later, on May 19.
